COVID-19 Response

February 3, 2021

The Fitch Company provides essential services to numerous essential industries: Water plants, power plants, LNG utilities, pulp & paper manufacturers, hydroelectric facilities, food manufacturers, animal science facilities, and specialty chemical plants. This means that we are exempt from executive orders that require nonessential companies to close. Our electrical and control system engineering, in conjunction with our fabricated control panels, help keep our customer’s critical facilities operating safely and effectively. A large portion of our services can be done remotely, based on the infrastructure that we have in place, but from time to time, our engineers must travel to a client site to assist.

Due to the nature of many of our client businesses, they run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Fitch Company will continue accommodate their needs and make sure they stay operating and support these businesses to maintain critical services throughout the State of Maine and other states during this COVID-19 pandemic.

We are taking this nation-wide health emergency very seriously. Additional protocols for onsite visits have been implemented for employees that must work at our client’s facilities. We have been very proactive in our daily procedures to implement social distancing, appropriate hygiene, and have significantly reduced physical interaction by utilizing technology. We are following the latest CDC guidelines. We have reduced the number of people working in our offices in Gray, Bangor and Rumford, Maine, by allowing those who could work from home to do so.

The Fitch Company is an essential business to support our client’s operations during the COVID-19 crisis. Please reach out to us at info@fitchcompany.com or 207-947-3932 if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mark Bolduc
