Food & Beverage Systems

The Fitch Company has executed many projects in the food and beverage industry. These projects have covered all aspects of the process including production and CIP systems.

CIP Control Systems

Our CIP (Clean In Place) control system consists of an Allen Bradley ControlLogix, a CompactLogix PLC platform, or an equal with Operator Interface Terminal based on customer preference.  This system is configured utilizing S88 phase manager for logical sequential control development.  Process design is completed by John Murphy (Dolphin8) or can be setup based on customer input.

The end result is a completely automated CIP system with recipe selection by the operator.  Testimonies and demonstration of this system can be arranged at a customer site.

These CIP control systems have been implemented in multiple food and beverage customer sites.

Dairy Process Controls

Electrical and controls engineering for dairy processing plants.
The Fitch Company has designed, configured and delivered control systems for substantial plant throughout expansion for a yogurt producer in the state of Colorado. This included system integration from raw milk receiving through the plant filling stations. Third party systems were provided for two of the plant stages.

Raw CIP and post-pasteurization CIP hardware and software development was included for all stages of the process.

Project scope included design and supply of all 7 field mounted food grade control panels, 10 food grade field mounted operator interface panels, 3 variable frequency drive cabinets and one primary processor cabinet. Engineering scope of work included electrical and control system design, all software configuration, onsite system commissioning and follow-up support as needed.
