The Fitch Company has completed many paper machine and winder drive replacement projects, either during a single extended outage or over multiple outages that coincide with the normal maintenance schedule. Careful planning allows us to cut a small section over on each shutdown, ensuring all interlocks and speed references are properly coordinated — and that we need minimal additional shutdown time for the drive installation.

We develop detailed project scope and installation schedules with a +/- 10% estimate, at the same time addressing power distribution upgrades, increases in sectional horsepower, location plans for equipment, and AC vs. DC drive and motor options. We then provide detailed engineering, construction coordination and start-up services.
